Day 8: A girly girl loves Paris

I love the juxtaposition when black and pink are combined into a design because black is a strong dominant color, while pink is very feminine and delicate.

I am also fascinated with everything about the 1950s period. To me, that era of time had the coolest clothes, cars, and iconic lifestyle that is still very remnant of today. It’s also a time period when bright colors were being introduced into design after the mute somber period of the 1940s after World War I and II.

The 1950s signify change and a start to exploring design right before the 1960s kicked in. It was a time of peace and tranquility.

And Paris is well-known as the “City of Love”. It’s a magically place where people fall in love underneath the Eiffel Tower with the nighttime sky lightening up the background. Although I have personally not been to Paris, when I think of that city, I connect it with the 1950s since it is so glamorous.

Now for the unveiling of today’s design.

As they say in Paris, merci!
