Day 43: There’s a dancer in all of us

A dance teacher once told me, “There’s a little dancer in all of us that wants to come out and play.”

We are all dancers, except some of us are much better than others.

Dance is another creative outlet to let ourselves go and be free. There are so many types of dances in the world, that anyone can be a dancer.

Dancing is also a great workout! It doesn’t take much to get started dancing, except for your favorite type of music to put you in the mood.

My personal favorite type of music to dance to is…you’ll never guess!

Most of you would probably say Pop or Country, but I’m a Electronica and Techno kind of girl! Think DJ Sammy, Daft Punk, Darude, Paul Oakenfold, Royksopp, and Sonique, just to name a few.

Now, growing up I didn’t take dance classes until I was in high school (I started in gymnastics when I was six, did Tall Flags and softball in the 9th grade, moved onto the Drill Team in 12th grade, and was a college cheerleader for two years.), but when the music is right, I’ll get up and dance. I’ve also been known to dance in the car while driving in rush hour traffic. Yes it’s possible without crashing!

Anyhow, today’s card for the women who started dancing as little girls and took Ballet, Jazz and Tap classes.

So as Lady Gaga would say, “Just Dance.”
