In the last two days, I’ve heard about so many people losing their life to our biggest enemy, death.
It was announced earlier today that the entire flight MH370 had crash into the Indian Ocean and there are no survivors. Yesterday I found out that a very good friend lost her grandfather to death a few weeks ago. In a freak mudslide in Washington today, several people were killed when the mountain came crashing down on their homes not only destroying them, but the people who lived in them as well. And the entertainment world lost another actor yesterday, James Rebhorn to skin cancer.
Death torments the living because when we lose someone to it, we grieve long and hard searching for answers such as, “Why?”
It hurts our heart when someone we love dies. Period.
I’m not going to say anything more than that or bring up anything religious because this blog is about my art, not religion. But I thought it was important to recognize that death affects us, even in our artwork as artists.
So, today’s card is for everyone on the earth that has lost someone they love dearly to death.
My condolences on your loss. May you find peace and comfort in your time of need.
