Day 123: Giddy up horsey

It’s Derby Day!!!

Derby is known for big outrageous hats, a Mint Julep with a slice of Derby pie on the side. It’s a Kentucky tradition, and this year it’s the 140th annual race day.

Every year on the first Saturday in May, people in everywhere, mainly in Kentucky, get dressed up with big hats (mostly the women) and spend the day at Churchill Downs cheering on their horse hoping it will be the first to cross the finish line.

It’s a really big deal!

Think of the Superbowl for race horsing fans.

Personally, I have never been to the Derby and that doesn’t bother me. I’m not a horse person.

Anyway, here’s a thank you card in honor of the 140th Annual Kentucky Derby.

Hat’s off!
