Day 163: Everything old is new again

I was crawling around Pinterest looking at what people posted today on the boards I follow, and I noticed that there are plenty of pictures showing distressed items.

Basically, people are taking old things like a mason jar and painting it a color to give it a distressed treatment so it looks old.

Sometimes it’s fun to reinvent the wheel because it can help stimulate creativity – at least it works for me.

There’s just something so cool looking about distressed items. They kind of have that retro look which ultimately reminds me of the 1940 – 1960s time period which I’m attractive to. That’s my favorite era. I love everything about that time period, including the clothes and hairstyles. The designs just have a timeless look in my eyes.

So I guess my cards these past few weeks have reminded me of that time period. I know, I know they aren’t exactly in that time period, but the era is inspirational to me.

Anyhow, here is today’s card inspired by distressed furniture – color and all.
