Day 217: Shades of blue can calm you down

If you’ve ever had a bad day because someone did something to you that you didn’t appreciate, or if you received some bad news, the circumstances can sometimes put you in a bad mood.

Everybody reacts to situations differently.

The best way to calm down and regroup your thoughts on the matter is to look a something blue.

Blue is a color that makes us feel restful and calm. Our brain sends out chemical signals that work as a tranquilizer when we see blue then we are automatically soothed and replenished feeling a sense of calmness. Blue is quiet, dependable, and serene.

So while I was trying to find inspiration for today’s card, I stumbled upon a picture of a crochet blanket in shades of blue and was drawn in immediately. The colors and design reminded me of the ocean.

I miss the ocean. 😦

Anyhow, here is today’s card.
