Day 120: The series is finished

Today is the last day for Autism Awareness month, and my series of thank you cards dedicated to it.

It hasn’t been easy trying to create an entire month back-to-back dedicated to one theme of cards. However, I did it!

Starting tomorrow I have to start finding new inspiration for cards and I have no idea what will actually inspire me. Oh the joys of being a creative.

Anyway, here’s the last card.

Day 119: Rain, rain go away

It started out as a beautiful sunny day, and then it turned gloomy and gray with rain showers. Sure the rain is good for the environment and makes the plants, grass and trees grow, but it can get old. I do like to fall asleep to the sound of the rain clamoring down on my tin roof, but I am glad that I don’t live in Seattle.

Anyhow, this is the second to last card in the Autism Awareness series as April ends tomorrow.

Day 117: Sunday Funday…not so much for me

It’s going to be another warm and sunny day and I’m going to miss out because I have to work. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and don’t mind working on Sunday. However, I do miss the sunny weather, especially since I had three winters in a row!

I know…I got to spend two months in Australia last summer (their winter), but still…I miss the warm weather! I’m a beach baby, not a snow bunny.

Anyhow, since my day is jammed packed and I have to work soon. Let me show you today’s card.

Day 116: It was a normal Saturday

Nothing really excited happened today, except for the fact that it was 82 degrees outside and I missed most of the warm weather.

I spent the afternoon at work, which was busy and that was a good thing, but I got off at 5 and still had to go grocery shopping for the next week. I got to catch a few moments of the warm air, while driving in the car, but that’s about it.

The highlight of my day was I got free food at the market!

A new market finally opened up in my neighborhood and I decided to get my shopping done there. They had several people handing our free food samples, which was great because my blood sugar was so low and I was starving! I didn’t get much food, but it cost me a lot! Whew…food prices are really climbing these days.

I was too overwhelmed with getting handle on the new store layout, but I think it’s going to be a great place to find some inspiration when I’m finished with this Autism Awareness series. Only a few more days of puzzle piece cards, can you hang on until the end with me?

Today I wasn’t in the mood to do much of anything because I’ve been so busy running around like a headless chicken that I managed to actually lay on the couch and finish a book. Call me lazy, but the last thing I wanted to do after work and grocery shopping was get dressed again to go out and do something. I needed a night of laziness and it feels great!

So before I jet off to be lazy before going to sleep, I did manage to create a card.

Enjoy!

Day 115: There was no cake today

I came in work today hoping for a celebration cake for my two year anniversary, but I didn’t get one. 😦

Bummer. I just might have to go get myself a cupcake tomorrow instead.

Anyway, today was just like any other day, except that I had a nap. I was so tired at 11 this morning that when I got home, I crawled back into bed for another two hours. I’m usually not a nap person, but the weather made me sleepy.

This is what I came up with for today’s card.

Day 114: It’s been two years

Wow…time sure does fly by when you’re having fun or least expect it.

So, today is my two year anniversary at the store and I still can’t believe that it’s been this long. No, I didn’t have to work today.

It just shows that when you love your job and you work with great people, it can be an enjoyable place to be – besides home.

Anyhow, here’s today’s card.

Day 113: I didn’t forget about yesterday

You’re probably wondering what happened to me yesterday and mostly, “What happened to the thank you card?”.

I didn’t forget about a card yesterday.

My day was jammed packed with getting errands done, such as putting new back brakes on my card, and I had to work last night. Now normally, I’m home before 10:00 p.m., but last night was an exception because we had a floor set to take care of.  I was supposed to be out of there by 11, but there was so much to do beside my regular duties that I didn’t leave until 11:25 p.m.!

By the time I got home, it was 11:45 p.m. and I needed to crash before I could fall asleep. I was too tired to work on the computer, so that’s why I didn’t create a card for yesterday.

Here’s your card for today.
